According to WooCommerce, the Interactivity API is a fundamental shift in building interactive shopping experiences: cart updates without page reloads, interactive mini carts, real-time filtering, modern block-based functionality, while maintaining the PHP server-side background. WooCommerce also indicates that new blocks will be built with the Interactivity API in the future.
